On 7 February 2025, Ihor Vuytsyk, Head of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber, met with representatives of the Faculty of Journalism at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv: Marian Lozinskyi, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Journalism, and Nataliia Voitovych, Associate Professor in the Department of Theory and Practice of Journalism.

The main topic of discussion was the preparation for the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Lviv Agrarian Chamber and the Faculty of Journalism. The document is intended to lay the foundations for the implementation of joint educational and information projects that will help promote agricultural topics and engage students in covering topical issues relating to the revival of rural areas during these difficult times following the pandemic and the Russian Federation’s full-scale aggression against Ukraine.
Particular attention was paid during the meeting to opportunities for student internships as part of the production of the electronic and print newsletter ‘AgroForum’. This bulletin is an important analytical publication in the agricultural sector, and its 222nd issue was published following six years of daily work by the editorial board and its editor-in-chief, Dmytro Solomonko. Giving the publication a new, modern approach requires coverage of farmers’ success stories, support for niche products, and the introduction and maintenance by farmers of modern food safety systems – which will provide an excellent opportunity for students to test their skills in practical journalism.
Those attending the meeting expressed their confidence that cooperation between the Lviv Agrarian Chamber and the Faculty of Journalism will open up new opportunities for young media professionals, allow them to contribute to the creation of high-quality agrarian media content, and promote the development of information support for Ukrainian farming and the development of rural areas.
