The USAID project will reimburse 30% of the cost of grain handling equipment for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises

October 11 2024

With the support of the USAID Economic Support to Ukraine Project (USAID Project), at least 20 Ukrainian agricultural logistics companies will be able to purchase grain transhipment equipment from Kobzarenko Plant LLC at a 30% discount. It is expected that this business support will increase grain export and transhipment capacity by 2.5 million tonnes per year.

The USAID support programme for Ukrainian agricultural companies provides that the enterprise purchases equipment from the manufacturer at 70% of its cost, with the remaining 30% covered by the USAID Project.

Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises with an annual income from operations not exceeding the equivalent of €40 million are eligible to purchase equipment at a 30% discount. This programme is not available to agricultural holdings and companies that have already received assistance from the USAID Project or are due to receive it in the near future.

Under this programme, eligible companies can purchase machinery to help improve the efficiency of grain transhipment processes at all key points along the export route, including:

• RVM-180 mobile wagon unloader (tractor-mounted version)

• RVM-180 mobile wagon unloader in electric configuration

• BNP-12 ‘Kovcheg’ ground-based transhipment hoppers in a tractor-driven version

• BNP-12 ‘Kovcheg’ ground-based loading hoppers in electric version

• BNP-3 ‘Kovcheg’ ground-based transhipment hoppers in tractor-mounted version

• SN-25 rail loader in electric version

In total, the USAID Project will subsidise 30% of the cost of 51 units of equipment from the Kobzarenko Plant.

For information on how to purchase the equipment, please call 099-270-18-90 (Tetyana).
