The new government programme ‘eRobota’ was launched on 1 July 2022.

The government grant programme “eRobota” provides support for small and medium-sized businesses. Among its benefits is the opportunity for anyone wishing to do so to set up or develop their own business in the areas of “My Business”, “My Garden”, “My Greenhouse” and “New Level”.

With the aim of ensuring the provision of grants to businesses for the establishment or development of greenhouse farming and the establishment or development of horticulture, berry growing and viticulture, the Government adopted Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 738 of 21 June 2022 ‘Certain Issues Concerning the Provision of Grants to Businesses’, which approved the Procedure for the Provision of Grants for the Establishment or Development of Horticulture, Berry Farming and Viticulture and the Procedure for the Provision of Grants for the Establishment or Development of Greenhouse Farming.

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy, with a view to improving support mechanisms for business entities within the framework of existing grant programmes, is constantly initiating amendments to the aforementioned Procedures.

In particular, amendments have been prepared to paragraph 4 of the Procedure for granting grants for the establishment or development of horticulture, berry growing and viticulture
(hereinafter – the Procedure) regarding the provision of grants for planting and establishing plantations on a land plot or on adjacent land plots.

It is proposed to supplement paragraph 4 of the Procedure with new sub-paragraphs as follows:

‘Grants are provided for the planting and establishment of plantations on a land plot or on adjacent land plots, the total area of which is between 1 and 25 hectares.

At the same time, farm tracks, clearings, field-protecting forest strips and other protective plantings, as well as boundaries (rivers, streams, canals, forest strips, vegetation strips, trees, paths, ditches, ravines, marshy land) may be located between the land plots.”

It is planned that this provision will come into force on 1 January 2024.

Please take this information into account when developing planting plans for businesses planning to apply for a grant in the coming year (2024) to establish or develop horticulture, berry growing and viticulture.
