On March 10, a working meeting of the VAT unblocking commission was held at the DPS Main Office in Lviv region. The initiators of the meeting were Volodymyr Kryshtal, chairman of the public council at the DPS in Lviv region, and Ihor Vuytsyk, chairman of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber, who in the public council takes care of issues of small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises.
The commission was approached by the farm “Stozhnya-Agro” (head Volodymyr Khomyshyn), which specializes in the cultivation of high-starch potatoes, grain and oil crops on an area of 83 hectares. The company asked for help in solving the issue of unlocking value added tax.
The meeting was attended by Ivan Melenchuk, head of the department for identifying and processing tax risks of the Main Department of the DPS in the Lviv region, and Oleksandr Kharkevich, deputy head of the department, head of the risk department. They conducted informational work with the taxpayer, head of the FS Volodymyr Khomyshin and accountant Svitlana Brunarska, explained the procedure for stopping the registration of tax invoices and adjustment calculations in the Unified Register of Tax Invoices, and also provided recommendations on how to avoid similar risks in the future and be a conscientious taxpayer.
The meeting was an example of constructive cooperation between tax authorities, the public council and the agricultural community, aimed at supporting the development of agriculture and ensuring the transparency of tax procedures.
