Today, February 5, another meeting of the Board of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber (LAP) was held. The issues of approving documents regulating the work of the LAP executive body in 2026, the implementation of procedural tasks in the implementation of the project “Protection of biodiversity of the cross-border territories of Ukraine and Poland from invasive populations of the borscht “Heracleum”, as well as the distribution of humanitarian aid from Polish partners, provided within the framework of the “Together for Ukraine” program, were brought up for consideration by the Board.
In particular, the members of the board discussed and approved the Regulation on the accounting policy of the LAP for 2026, considered the issue of deregistration of agricultural machinery (tractors) purchased under the project “Protection of biodiversity of the cross-border territories of Ukraine and Poland from invasive populations of borscht “Heracleum” and agreed on their free transfer to the target territorial communities, as provided for in the project.
Also, the Board agreed on the list of recipients of humanitarian aid, which is provided by the Lublin Association on a regular basis within the framework of the “Together for Ukraine” program. It is about generators. The list of recipients included family farms, military units, and dairy farms.
“Alternative sources of electricity are now very necessary for small agricultural producers, because it is difficult for them to allocate fifty or more thousand hryvnias for their purchase, and dairy farms need electricity at least 3 times a day for the operation of milking units. Our military also has a critical need for generators. Therefore, the generators sent by our Polish colleagues from the Lubelskie Izba rolnochnya will be a good support for both farmers and the military,” said Pavlo Muzyka, president of LAP.
Expansion of cooperation of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber with scientific institutions was also the subject of discussion at the meeting of the Board. It was about establishing cooperation with the Lviv branch of the Ukrainian Institute of Plant Expertise. The director of the branch, Vasyl Kuzko, spoke about the work of the Institute and emphasized the importance of consolidating efforts to promote the implementation of joint projects, which involve participation within the scope of competence in the formation and implementation of scientific and technical, technological, and innovative policies in the fields of the agro-industrial complex, the implementation of applied and other research works on the scientific and technical examination of varieties, information and publishing activities regarding the dissemination of information about the best new varieties that can be recommended to cultivation in the Lviv region.
At the end, Branch Director Vasyl Kuzko and LAP President Pavlo Muzyka signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and Partnership between the Lviv Branch of the Ukrainian Institute of Plant Varieties Examination and the Lviv Agrarian Chamber.
