The Lviv Agrarian Chamber is actively implementing an important environmental project within the framework of the Interreg NEXT Poland-Ukraine 2021-2027 Program: “Protection of biodiversity of the cross-border territories of Ukraine and Poland from invasive populations of borscht (Heracleum)”.

During this week, the Chamber’s team made working visits to three communities – Skhidnytska, Skolivska and Slavska. The purpose of the trips was to hand over purchased equipment for individual protection of utility workers who will be involved in practical work to eliminate dangerous populations of borschivna.

The task was successfully completed: the Lviv Agrarian Chamber, as the main partner of the project, provided communities with the necessary means of protection. The next stage will be the transfer of special equipment: eighteen manual gasoline mowers for manual mowing and destruction of the Sosnovsky hogweed, eighteen battery-powered sprayers in nine territorial communities of the Lviv region and provision of communal enterprises of nine territorial communities with sprayers for washing and cleaning protective equipment after contact with the toxic juice of the hogweed during its destruction within the scope of the project implementation. in order to ensure safe cleaning and reuse of personal protective equipment for employees.
