The average daily air temperature was in the range of 1.9‒6.4 °C and exceeded the climatic index by 5.5‒9.7 °C (-3.6 °C in the II and -3.3 °C in the III decades). Both the maximum and the minimum were observed on February 16, they were 9.2 and -2.0 °C, respectively.
In the second decade of February, the average daily temperature was 11.0 mm (73% of the norm).
During this period, only two days were characterized by fluctuations in the average daily air temperature (+5 °C). Vegetation has not recovered, winter plants are in a state of shallow rest. However, there is a more active consumption of reserve substances (sugars), which can increase the percentage of weakened plants in the crop.
The final assessment of the condition of the winter crops is given after the resumption of the vegetation and the inventory of the crops (repair, replanting, etc.).
First of all, thinned and underdeveloped, well-rooted crops are fed – in the first 10-15 days after the restoration of spring vegetation.
