From July, you can apply for a grant for the development of horticulture and greenhouse management in Diya

July 8 2022

The new government program “eRobota” started on July 1. Now, through Diya, you can apply for non-refundable grants to create your own business, expand small and medium-sized businesses, and acquire new skills for a new career. Currently, new grant programs have begun to operate.

In particular, it is proposed to receive a grant in the amount of 5-7 million hryvnias for partial compensation of the cost of creating greenhouses. The expected number of grants is 3,000 per year. The budget of the program is UAH 7 billion. The program is designed for private entrepreneurs, agricultural companies, farms that own or lease land for a period of at least 7 years. Funds can be spent on construction, purchase of technical equipment, seed material and fertilizers. The principle of co-financing was introduced: for the first thousand participants, 70% of the project cost is financed by the state, and 30% by the entrepreneur. To receive a grant, you need to apply through Diya or an authorized bank. The key requirement is employment of workers and payment of taxes.

You can also get grants to support horticulture, berry growing and viticulture. It is about partial compensation of the cost of the gardens. The state will provide from 300 to 400 thousand hryvnias per hectare of gardens. This is approximately 70% of the average landing cost. Grants are planned for planting 10,000 hectares of new gardens. The budget of the program is 4 billion hryvnias. Grantees must have either their own land or land in use for at least 7 years. The garden project can be from 1 to 25 hectares. Funds will also be deposited into a bank account for transparent procurement of seedlings, equipment, irrigation systems, fertilizers, etc.
