On June 16, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the Procedure for verifying the compliance of the purchaser or owner of the agricultural plot of land with the requirements in accordance with Art. 130 of the Land Code of Ukraine.

The procedure contains a clear sequence of actions of the notary regarding the verification of purchasers of agricultural land plots.

Such verification will, in particular, include: establishing the identity of the acquirer; the ultimate beneficial owner of a legal entity; checking the application of sanctions; verification of the transferee’s inclusion in the list of persons connected with the conduct of terrorist activities; determination of the total area of agricultural land plots owned by the purchaser.

For this purpose, the data of the State Register of Real Property Rights, the State Land Cadastre, and the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Individual Entrepreneurs, and Public Organizations will be used.

The inspection will be carried out by the body that implements state control over the use and protection of land.
