On May 24, the President of Ukraine signed the Law “On Amendments to the Land Code of Ukraine and other legislative acts on improving the system of management and deregulation in the field of land relations” No. 1423-IX, which allows communities to start phased work with lands that have come under their control.

First of all, communities can already carry out a complete inventory of land in accordance with Cabinet Resolution No. 476. Communities can start the formation of a full-fledged database of all land plots on the territory of the community, create a cartographic basis of the entire territory of the community, as well as determine the functional purpose of the land

On the same day, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy presented the White Paper “Strategy for the Development of Land Relations in Ukraine”. 

The presented strategic document covers almost all aspects of land reform.
