On April 23, a seminar was held in Lviv with representatives of OTG and agricultural producers of the region on the topic: “Growth of territorial communities of Lviv Oblast through the development of agrarian business.”
Representatives of 13 united territorial communities of the region, agricultural producers, Pavlo Muzyka, president of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber, took part in the seminar.
During the seminar, the Director of the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Tetyana Hetman, focused attention on the priorities of agribusiness support in the OTG and the attraction of land resources.
The deputy director of the department Lyudmila Goncharenko presented in her speech the program of financial support for agricultural producers of the region at the regional level, since the acceptance of documents from farmers has already begun. The state and regional budgets will also provide financial support to young farmers, producers of organic products, etc.
Deputy director of the department Hanna Kushchak informed about the support of family farms and cooperatives, in particular regional project initiatives.
The President of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber, Pavlo Muzyka, updated the issue of development of counseling, informational and advisory support for agricultural producers, and a specialized newspaper to highlight the experience of developing rural areas of communities and interaction with farming. LAP advisers in the region also provide such support. During the last year, the advisory support of the advisers of the Agrarian Chamber for berry growers in the region has increased in particular.
Pavel Muzyka updated the seminar on the issue of effective use of land resources, in particular public pastures, because with the support of unsanitary officials of the State Geocadastre Department of the region, without the knowledge of the communities, they began to change the target designation of agricultural land, and this causes social dissatisfaction among residents in a number of OTG of the region.
Tetyana Borushok, a specialist of the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of the region, told the representatives of the OTG about the issue of bringing and accounting for the community’s land resource. In her opinion, it is desirable to employ land managers in the OTG and regularly carry out regulatory and monetary valuation of lands.
As part of the seminar, issues of support for residents of OTG by employment centers and mechanisms for allocating resources for starting their own business were discussed.
