In 2021, the Ministry of Economy will allocate 50 million hryvnias at the national level for state support of producers of organic agricultural products. Another 500,000 UAH will be allocated from the budget of the Lviv region.
Allocation of budget subsidies of the Ministry of Economy per unit of cultivated land is expected in the amount of up to 30 million hryvnias; for budget subsidies per head of cattle – up to 15 million hryvnias; for the reimbursement of the cost of certification of organic production – up to UAH 5 million.
It is expected that the budget subsidy per unit of cultivated area will be provided up to UAH 5,000/ha; budget subsidy for cattle maintenance – up to UAH 5,000 per head (as of August 1, last year); partial reimbursement of the cost of organic production certification in the amount of up to 30% (but no more than UAH 20,000 per farm). The list of recipients of financial support from the Ministry of Economy is formed by October 10 by regional commissions.
According to the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of the Lviv Regional State Administration, 2.8 thousand hectares of land are cultivated in the region using organic technologies, and 39 operators of the organic products market operate in the region.
