On April 23, 2026, AGRI-BIOCIRCULAR-HUB held its first Open Day as part of the Science Festival of the Lviv Polytechnic National University 🌱

The event was organized by the Department of Ecology and Sustainable Nature Management and brought together students, schoolchildren and all those interested to learn about the biocircular economy and project activities in Ukraine.

🔸 Iryna Yaremchuk, vice-rector for scientific work and innovations, gave a welcoming speech
🔸 Project manager Nazariy Andrushchak moderated the program of the event
🔸 Project coordinator Myroslav Malyovany joined as a key speaker
🔸 International partners of the consortium also participated in the event

Visitors learned how organic waste is transformed into energy and fertilizer, why soil health is important for food security, and what the biocircular transition means for farms and communities in Europe and Ukraine.

Open Day is part of the public involvement program of the project, the purpose of which is to bring the concept of biocircular economy closer to students, young people and the wider public.
