On July 28, the Ukrainian Catholic University held a thematic conference dedicated to the prospects for the development of the agricultural sector of the Lviv region. Agricultural producers of the region, the head of the board of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber Ihor Vuytsyk, entrepreneurs of the region took part in the conference.
First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Vysotskyi, Deputy Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Yury Buchko addressed the participants of the conference with a welcome speech.
Director of the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of the Lviv Regional Government Tetyana Hetman spoke about the implementation of regional programs to support the agricultural industry, for which UAH 26.5 million is provided from the regional budget. Sown areas in the region exceed 745,000 hectares. Every fourth agrarian of the region received humanitarian aid in the form of high-yielding seeds of various agricultural crops.
According to the forum, topical issues of establishing export of products and formation of logistics chains were also discussed.
