State registration of property rights to agricultural land plots obtained for use under simplified procedure for a term of up to 1 year for the period of martial law, must be carried out by January 19, 2023. This is reported by the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of Lviv Oblast with reference to the relevant law of Ukraine (No. 2698-IX).

It is about land plots that are under the right of permanent use by farmers and which are leased to other farmers for the period of the war, as well as plots for which agreements on the transfer of land use rights have been concluded.

     “Since, in accordance with the provisions of the Law of Ukraine, the tenant (subtenant) must submit an application for state registration of the right of use within two months, and the law entered into force on November 19, farmers do not have much time left. If the right to lease a land plot is not registered within 3 months, the land plot lease agreement is considered terminated. However, in connection with the failure to enter in the State Register of Rights information about the registration of the corresponding right or information about the renewal of the corresponding contract before harvesting the crop sown by the land user on the land plot, the land user has the right to harvest such a crop,” the department of agro-industrial development of the Lviv State Regional Government notes.
