On September 8, a discussion “Decentralization of management – chances and challenges for the development of rural areas” took place in Ukraine with the support of the project “German-Ukrainian agropolitical dialogue”.
Participants in the discussion were representatives of the Lviv Regional State Administration, the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture, regional administrations, united territorial communities, the head of the Assembly of Agrarian Chambers of Ukraine (AAPU) Ihor Vuytsyk.
As part of the discussion, the head of the “German-Ukrainian agropolitical dialogue” project, Volker Zasse, presented the positive impact of the administrative reform on the development of rural areas and entrepreneurship in EU countries.
Representative of the Ministry Svitlana Pavlenko drew attention to the importance of stimulating the development of family farms.
In the opinion of the deputy head of the Lviv Regional State Administration Yuriy Buchko, it is advisable to implement modern sales technologies and promotion of agricultural sector products under a common regional brand in rural areas.
AAPU Chairman Ihor Vuytsyk presented to the panelists the draft law “On Agrarian Chambers”, which in particular proposes the participation of elected representatives of the Agrarian Chamber in the work of the management bodies of the OTG to promote the development of farming, etc.
As part of the event, it was also noted that the “German-Ukrainian Agricultural Policy Dialogue” project is developing a Strategy for the Development of Rural Territories of Ukraine for the Ministry of Economy.
