Humanitarian aid for small farmers in the Lviv region: generators from Karol Buioch and partners at Top Agrarian POLSKA

January 25 2025

In response to the challenges faced by Ukrainian farmers as a result of the war, the humanitarian initiative ‘Together for Ukraine’ has become a vital source of support for the agricultural sector in the Lviv region.

As part of this initiative, led by Mr Karol Bujoček, editor-in-chief of Top Agrarian POLSKA magazine, and the Lublin Chamber of Agriculture, small family farms in the region have once again received an extremely important resource – electric generators.

The implementation of this project was made possible through close cooperation with the Lviv Agrarian Chamber, which organised the distribution of the equipment among farmers, as noted by the Chamber’s head, Ihor Vuytsyk, at a meeting with the small family farms. The generators have become vital for farms facing power cuts due to infrastructure damage caused by the war. From now on, farmers, particularly those involved in dairy farming, will be able to ensure the uninterrupted operation of machinery, lighting of premises, storage of produce under appropriate conditions, and the performance of other urgent tasks.

Karol Bujoček, commenting on the handover of the generators, noted:

“The scale of the destruction and the tragedy facing the Ukrainian nation is unimaginable. We regret that innocent people, including defenceless children and the elderly, particularly those without care, are suffering in this brutal war that Russia is waging against Ukraine. We Poles understand how important it is to support those who ensure food security even in the most difficult conditions. Farmers are the people on whom the future depends. We are delighted to be part of this aid effort and to cooperate with our Ukrainian friends to provide them with the resources they need to work and live.

Pavlo Muzyka, President of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber, and Vice-President Oleg Beizik emphasised that the Chamber has long collaborated with international partners, and that this aid will not only improve farmers’ working conditions but also contribute to the stability of agriculture in the region.

The ‘Together for Ukraine’ project has become yet another example of the strong support shown by our Polish friends to the Ukrainian people. Thanks to the efforts of organisations and leaders such as Karol Bujoch, Ukrainian farmers continue to work, ensuring food security for both local communities and the entire country.

The Lviv Agrarian Chamber expressed its sincere gratitude to Mr Karol Bujoček, Top Agrarian POLSKA magazine and everyone who contributed to the implementation of this important initiative.
