From 1 to 5 May 2023, the Lviv Agricultural Chamber visited the Pidkamin, Turka, Zabolotsi and Skhidnytsia local communities.
Balanced feed for pigs and chickens was distributed to 124 households – these are internally displaced persons who have suffered from Russia’s military aggression in Ukraine, as well as families who have taken in IDPs and are engaged in agricultural activities.
Ihor Vuytsyk, Head of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber, expressed his gratitude to all beneficiaries for their civic stance during this difficult time for Ukraine, as well as to the leadership of the Pidkamin, Turka, Zabolotsiv and Skhidnytsia territorial communities. He noted the high level of organisation of the feed distribution process in the Skhidnytsia territorial community.
It should be noted that the feed distribution took place as part of the project ‘Emergency Food Security and Assistance to People Affected by the Conflict in Lviv Oblast’, which has been implemented in Lviv Oblast by the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) for the second consecutive year. The project aims to reach a thousand households keeping pigs and chickens across 31 territorial communities.
