On 21 April 2023, the Lviv Agrarian Chamber, with the support of the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO), visited the following three local communities in the Lviv region.
As part of the humanitarian mission, in the Radekhiv community, 323 beneficiaries, namely IDPs, those hosting IDPs, and those most affected by the war who are engaged in personal agricultural production, received vouchers worth 12,000 hryvnias each, which can be used in one of the Epicentre retail chains to purchase building materials, garden tools, tools, protective equipment, agricultural goods and electrical appliances for agricultural work, and other goods.
In the Belz and Chervonohrad communities, 97 households received balanced feed for broiler chickens and pigs. These are internally displaced persons who have suffered from Russia’s military aggression in Ukraine, as well as families who have taken in IDPs and are engaged in agricultural activities. The aim of the projects is to improve food security in the communities of Lviv Oblast.
Ihor Vuytsyk, Head of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber, thanked all beneficiaries for their civic stance during this difficult time for Ukraine and expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the Radekhiv, Chervonohrad and Belz territorial communities, and to Mr Petro Pylypchuk, the representative of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber in the Chervonohrad community, for the preparatory work carried out to implement these humanitarian projects.
