By Resolution No. 650 of 07/22/2020, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine amended the Model Land Lease Agreement and approved the Rules for the Maintenance and Preservation of Field Protection Forest Strips Located on Agricultural Land. The resolution entered into force on July 30 of the previous year
The rules define the main requirements for the maintenance and preservation of field protection forest strips located on agricultural land, and the implementation of a range of land reclamation activities.
The rules are mandatory for all owners, tenants and users of land plots on which forest protection strips are located (hereinafter referred to as land users).
It was determined that field protection forest strips are artificially created linear plantings to protect agricultural land from the negative impact of natural and anthropogenic factors.
Forest management of field protection forest strips is carried out according to the following additional indicators:
- view;
- area, length, width, number of rows;
- main breed;
- construction;
- age period;
- forestry and reclamation assessment.
It has been established that measures to protect against illegal felling, ensure fire safety, and eliminate fires in field protection forest strips are carried out by land users.
The following is prohibited on land plots under field protection forest strips:
- assemble materials;
- build any structures;
- arrange garbage, snow and ice dumps;
- equip parking lots for vehicles;
- to burn dry vegetation, light a fire;
- extracting sap, resin from trees, making incisions;
- destroy anthills, catch birds and animals;
- carry out any activity that may negatively affect the condition of the field protection forest strips.
