On April 7, at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, a resolution was adopted that expands state support for agricultural producers for 2021, supplementing it with six new programs. This decision was made as part of the implementation of the Law of Ukraine on the functioning of the State Agrarian Register and improvement of state support for farmers.
Among the new programs supporting the agricultural industry:
• state support for insurance of agricultural products;
• compensation for losses from damage to agricultural crops due to man-made and natural emergencies;
• state support for agricultural producers who use reclaimed land;
• state support for producers of organic agricultural products;
• state support for potato producers;
• state support for agricultural producers through the allocation of budget subsidies based on a unit of cultivated land (buckwheat).
