On February 2, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted Resolution No. 86 “Rules for the development of working land management projects”, which fixed clear and understandable norms for drawing up the relevant documentation.
Government decree establishes requirements for the development of work projects for the purpose of reclamation of disturbed lands, removal and transfer of the fertile soil layer, conservation of degraded and unproductive lands, improvement of agricultural and forestry lands, protection of lands from erosion, flooding, waterlogging, secondary salinization, drying, landslides, compaction, acidification, pollution by industrial and other waste, radioactive and chemicals.
The working project of land management should include the following provisions:
• basis for performing works;
• characteristics of the object (location, area, cadastral number (if available), purpose, etc.);
• the purpose of developing a working project (determining specific ways to improve agricultural land and forest land);
• raw data for the improvement of agricultural lands and forest lands (legislative acts, scientific, technical and other documents).
The result of the completed works will be a working project of land management for the improvement of agricultural lands and forest lands.
The document will provide measures for:
• organization of the territory of the fields with the allocation of working and technological areas, which ensure the implementation of differentiated soil cultivation and the introduction of progressive technologies of cultivation of crops, taking into account the characteristics of each land plot;
• determination of optimal directions of soil cultivation;
• placement of crops on working areas of fields and rotation of crop rotations by year;
• determination of norms for applying fertilizers to crops and maintaining the balance of humus in the soil.
