On 21–22 May, Ihor Vuytsyk, Chairman of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber, took part in an international conference for partners of the ‘Priority: Environment and Tourism’ projects, held in Lublin (Republic of Poland).
The conference featured presentations of all bilateral international projects to be implemented in Ukraine and Poland between 2025 and 2027 with the support of the Interreg NEXT Poland–Ukraine 2021–2027 programme. During the conference, Ihor Vuytsyk presented the Lviv Agrarian Chamber’s project ‘Protection of biodiversity in the cross-border territories of Ukraine and Poland from invasive populations of hogweed (Heracleum)’, which is being implemented in partnership with the Lublin University of Life Sciences, the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University, the Lublin Chamber of Agriculture, and the S. Z. Gzhytskyi Lviv National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology.
As part of the event, Ihor Vuytsyk held a constructive meeting with the Head of the Joint Secretariat, Mr Andrzej Słodki, regarding the launch of the project ‘Protection of biodiversity in the cross-border territories of Ukraine and Poland from invasive populations of hogweed (Heracleum)’.
A meeting was also held with representatives of the Polish partners of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber in this project – Mariusz Kulik, Professor at the University of Natural Sciences in Lublin, and Anna Rysyak, Professor at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University – with whom a work schedule for the implementation of the joint project was agreed.
