
Lublin Chamber of Agriculture (LCA)
Lublin Chamber of Agriculture is an organizational unit of the agricultural self-government that works to solve agricultural problems and represents the interests of its members.The Chamber works for the benefit of agriculture, influences the shaping of agricultural policy and participates in its implementation. It acts as an intermediary between farmers, local governments, state institutions and other agricultural organizations.
The Chamber undertakes activities to improve the infrastructure of agriculture and rural areas and the agrarian structure, and works to improve the quality of agricultural products. Promotes the export of agricultural products. It cares about improving the qualifications of people employed in agriculture.

Role in the project:
Within the framework of the project “Protection of biodiversity in the cross-border areas of Ukraine and Poland from invasive populations of hogweed (Heracleum)” PLUA.01.03-IP.01-0008/23, LCA will conduct 25 workshops for adults entitled “Sosnowsky’s hogweed – a dangerous species in the environment”.
The aim of the workshop is to inform, teach and show representatives of local authorities, farmers, landowners, ecologists about the threats posed by Sosnowski’s hogweed, ways of its recognizing and methods of combating.
Each workshop in Poland, held in 25 out of 39 targeted communes, will be attended by 30 persons, it will consist of theoretical seminar held in the commune and a field trip for recognition of hogweed plants.
