On 30 October this year, as part of preparations for the Advisory Services Programme for farms in the Lviv region, a working meeting was held between the management of the Lviv Regional Agricultural Administration—Igor Vuytsyk and Hanna Kushchak—and the expert advisor and head of the private enterprise ‘Agrofon Plus’, Volodymyr Kysil.
During the meeting, issues relating to information and advisory work with farmers regarding the provision of plant protection products, micro-fertilisers and fertilisers, and high-quality seeds for the 2024 harvest were discussed.
Vladimir Kysil proposed a number of topical issues to be covered at thematic seminars, which the Lviv Agrarian Chamber plans to hold throughout 2024. In particular, these include familiarising farmers with new products on the domestic market for plant protection products, fertilisers and micro-fertilisers. Another interesting topic for training seminars could be the application of effective technologies in crop production, vegetable growing and horticulture.
Board Chairman Ihor Vuytsyk emphasised that among small farms which do not have relevant specialists on staff, there is currently significant demand for the development of technical guidelines for growing cereals, oilseeds, vegetables and fruit crops, as well as for the provision of highly specialised professional advice.
Following the meeting, the topics for three training seminars for small farms were agreed upon for the periods November–December 2023 and January–March 2024.
The seminar topics, as well as the dates and venues, will be announced on the Lviv Agrarian Chamber’s website and on its social media pages.
