On 12–13 February 2025, Ihor Vuytsyk, Head of the Lviv Agricultural Chamber, together with representatives of the Chamber, took part in the Re:Farm conference—one of Ukraine’s largest agricultural events, bringing together industry experts and specialists for the second time.

This conference served as an excellent platform for learning about current trends in the agricultural sector, discussing development prospects and seeking new solutions to improve the efficiency of agricultural businesses. The Chamber’s leadership paid particular attention to innovative technologies, specifically the use of LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) drones, which enable the creation of high-resolution 3D terrain models. This is particularly important for measuring plant height and detailing. The introduction of the latest methods, such as remote monitoring and precision application of control measures, will help reduce environmental risks and improve the effectiveness of controlling Sosnowski’s hogweed, particularly within the framework of the cross-border partnership between Poland and Ukraine.
“Re:Farm is not only a place to exchange experiences, but also an opportunity to find effective solutions to the current challenges facing the agricultural sector. The use of cutting-edge technologies opens up new prospects for farmers and scientists in increasing the yield of major crops and combating invasive plant species,” noted Ihor Vuytsyk.
The Lviv Agrarian Chamber will continue to work on implementing innovative approaches in agriculture, providing support to farmers and promoting the development of sustainable agricultural production in the region.
