On 24 June 2024, a monitoring mission from the Lviv Agrarian Chamber, comprising the Chamber’s Chairman, Ihor Vuytsyk, and Monitoring Officer Davyd Kravchenko, visited the Lviv Regional Hospital for War Veterans and Victims of Repression named after Y. Lypa, which has been participating in the UN World Food Programme’s Institutional Food Programme since January this year.
During the visit, representatives of the monitoring mission inspected the warehouse where food provided under the Programme is stored and spoke with the hospital’s management.
The hospital’s Director General, Maksym Prykupenko, expressed his gratitude for the assistance provided and emphasised the importance of the Institutional Food Programme in ensuring a nutritious and balanced diet for the hospital’s patients. He also emphasised his readiness to continue cooperation with the Lviv Agrarian Chamber and the World Food Programme, noting that the food received under the Programme is of very high quality and comes in a wide variety. The head of the institution also noted that this is not the first time the Agrarian Chamber has assisted the hospital. The first humanitarian visit took place back in April 2022, when the Chamber provided humanitarian aid to the hospital in the form of medicines received from agricultural chambers in France. It was from this time that the cooperation between the Lviv Agricultural Chamber and the hospital began.

At the end of the visit, the team checked the storage conditions of the products in the warehouse and the presence of information posters, noting minor shortcomings in the storage facility. The hospital staff promised to rectify these shortcomings.
