On September 21, a meeting was held in Lviv between the president of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber, Pavlo Muzika, and the director of the State University “Scientific and Methodological Center of Professional Higher and Pre-Higher Education”, professor Tetyana Ishchenko, with representatives of Germany to discuss the issue of the development of financial education of farmers in the region. From the German side, representatives of the Fund for International Cooperation of Savings Banks German Sparkassenstifung Dr. Michael Beck and representative of the organization in Ukraine Matias Pfaaf took part.
Within the framework of the meeting, the successful experience of savings banks for the development of rural entrepreneurship and farming, taking into account the experience of Germany, was highlighted. The mentioned positive experience is extremely important in the period of post-war restoration of the national agro-food sub-complex, which will allow to develop farming on the basis of balanced development. The participation of higher education institutions in the project initiative will allow to cover wide sections of the population in the rural territorial communities of the region, which will allow to accelerate the spread of competences, positive experience, financial literacy of the residents of rural areas, stimulate the development of young farmers and their competences for the implementation of entrepreneurial initiatives.
