Agricultural enterprises will receive assistance in Lviv region during martial law

May 23 2022

More than 125 micro- and small agrarian enterprises in the Lviv region will receive assistance in the total amount of 10.5 million hryvnias during the martial law.

It is they who at this time take care of the food security of the region and provide work for many people in the village.

Today, the competition board distributed part of the funds within the framework of the Comprehensive Program for the Support and Development of Agriculture in the Lviv Region for 2021-2025.

Funds from the regional budget will be directed to:

✔️ 1.1 million hryvnias – for reimbursement of interest on borrowed loans and financial leasing contracts;

✔️ UAH 2.0 million – for preferential loans on a reverse basis for the development of agrarian business;

✔️ 7.4 million hryvnias – to pay a subsidy for keeping cows of all areas of productivity;

✔️ 0.9 million hryvnias – subvention of local government for measures to improve public pastures.

?The aid for improving public pastures will be received, in particular, by the Medenytsk Territorial Community, which registered them last year and produced documentation for the specified measures.

?The commission also supported preferential lending in the amount of 500,000 hryvnias to “Tartakiv-Agro” – a sheep breeding enterprise. Now the farmers have 1,400 individuals, and they plan to buy a baler of grass with the loan money, as well as fertilizers.

?The commission also decided to provide a preferential loan in the amount of 500,000 to the “Agrotem” farm in the Pustomyt region. They keep 220 cattle here, and they want to increase the number of dairy cows. Lviv Oblast does not provide itself with its own milk production, therefore, within the framework of the regional program, while the state co-financing does not work, we support cattle owners.
