On May 28, a seminar-meeting was held in Lviv on the creation and development of family farms in the Lviv region as part of the implementation of the Comprehensive program for the support and development of agro-industrial production in 2020. The event was attended by representatives of state authorities, agricultural producers, Pavlo Muzyka, president of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber, Ihor Vuytsyk, head of the LAP board.
The director of the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Yulia Shopska, gave an opening speech to the participants of the event, who presented the priority areas of the program to support agricultural producers of the region and talked about the financial support of farmers from the regional budget for the first five months of 2020. Decisions have already been made to allocate more than UAH 3.5 million from the funds of the regional budget to farmers in various areas of financial support
Hanna Hnativ, a specialist of the Western Interregional Department of Justice of the Ministry of Justice, spoke about the algorithm for completing registration procedures for farms. Ivan Pankiv, director of the Lviv Agricultural Advisory Service, spoke about the service’s cooperation with family farms.
Ihor Vuytsyk in his speech emphasized the need to implement only those budget programs to support family farms that have proven their effectiveness in EU countries. Important attention in the speech of Ihor Vuytsyk was paid to the issue of correct business planning in the implementation of development projects of farms.
Deputy director of the department of agro-industrial development of the LODA, Lyudmila Goncharenko, presented the main provisions of the program of irreversible support to farms in the implementation of project initiatives from the regional budget.
As part of the seminar-meeting, topical issues regarding support for farmers at the regional level, state procurement of food products for regional budgetary institutions, etc. were also discussed.
