Today, on the eve of the professional holiday of farmers, an interesting agrarian event took place on the basis of the Institute of Agriculture of the Carpathian Region of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine – Field Day 2026.
Participants in the event were farmers, representatives of agribusiness, scientists, financial institutions, manufacturers of complex fertilizers and plant protection products. The event became not only an opportunity to get acquainted with the latest technologies and achievements of the agrarian sphere, but also a platform for discussing the current challenges and prospects of the industry.
The program includes an overview of the institute’s demonstration site and a presentation of more than two hundred scientific studies and developments, the conference “Farming 2026: challenges, solutions, opportunities”.
The head of Lviv OVA Maksym Kozatsky addressed the participants of the event with an opening speech. He emphasized the important role of farmers in ensuring the country’s food security and thanked them for their daily work. During the event, the representatives of the military administration and the regional council presented medals and awards to the farmers. During the award ceremony, those who make a significant contribution to the development of the agricultural sector of the region with their work were recognized.
Congratulations to the farmers also came from the director of the APR department Lyudmila Goncharenko, the director of the Institute of Agriculture of the Carpathian Region Oleg Stasiv, the honorary president of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Yaroslav Gadzal and the rector of one of the largest agricultural universities of Ukraine, the Lviv National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology named after S.Z. Gzhitsky Ivan Parubchak.

Львівська Аграрна палата презентувала на заході програму надання субгрантів на розвиток стартапів у сфері біоциркулярної економіки для фермерів, малих та середніх агропідприємств.
«В рамках проєкту AGRI-BIOCIRCULAR-HUB оголошено конкурс на надання 4 грантів в розмірі 50 тис. євро на впровадження інноваційних розробок, що стосуються переробки та повторного використання відходів сільськогосподарського виробництва. Заявки для участі у конкурсі можна подавати до 31 липня цього року. Запрошуємо усіх виробників, хто має цікаві стартапи у сфері біоциркулярної економіки, подаватися на участь у конкурсі», – наголосив Ігор Вуйцик, голова Львівської Аграрної палати.
Освітньо-екологічну ініціативу проект ZeroHeracleum, спрямовану на боротьбу з борщівником Сосновського презентували від головного Партнера Львівської Аграрної палати Анна Кущак, проект-менеджер та Давид Кравченко, менеджер із закупівель та комунікації палати.
Також особливу увагу під час конференції приділили питанням підвищення врожайності та покращення якості сільськогосподарської продукції. Учасники обговорили сучасні методи обробітку ґрунту, використання нових сортів культур, ефективне застосування добрив і засобів захисту рослин. Також порушувалися питання впровадження інноваційних технологій та адаптації аграрного виробництва до змін клімату. Фахівці та фермери ділилися власним досвідом, обговорювали проблеми, та шукали шляхи їхнього вирішення.
“Field Day 2026 once again confirmed its importance as a platform for professional communication, exchange of knowledge and search for new opportunities for the development of the agricultural industry.” Such measures contribute to the strengthening of cooperation between all participants of the agricultural sector and help to implement modern approaches to farming”, – emphasized the president of the chamber Pavlo Muzyka in a conversation with farmers.
