On March 17, the Lviv Regional Council made changes to the Comprehensive Program for the Support and Development of Agriculture in the Lviv Region for 2021-2025 and supplemented it with a new measure “Improving public pastures”, the main task of which is to increase the productivity of natural agricultural lands due to their root or surface improvement and the organization of grazing. 

The planned amount of financial support for pasture improvement is UAH 3.328 million.

Financial support for measures to improve public pastures will be carried out at the expense of funds coming to the special fund of the regional budget in order to compensate losses of agricultural and forestry production within the limits of the provided allocations in the form of subventions to local self-government bodies. A condition for receiving funding is the decision of the executive committee on the creation of public pastures in order to meet the needs of the community, the availability of a land management project for a communally owned land plot and its registration, as well as design and cost documentation that determines the list and total cost of pasture improvement works.
