New directions of the humanitarian mission of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber.

Lviv Agrarian Chamber completed the year 2022 active humanitarian measures in accordance with the tasks of the United Nations Project, acting through its Office of the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UGCS) within the framework of “Support to civil society organizations (CSOs) to provide intersectoral emergency assistance to IDPs and conflict-affected persons in Ukraine”.

        In particular, food products for long-term storage were purchased, namely: – 5 types of cereals, flour, pasta, sugar, oil, coffee and tea, canned meat, cookies and honey. 400 humanitarian kits were formed from these products. Also hygiene products were purchased – soap, toothpaste, shampoo, which are also included in these sets.

     Thus, on 26.12.2022, volunteers of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber delivered 185 humanitarian kits to the villages Vilne and Yamne of the Velikopysarov territorial community style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”>of the Sumy region and distributed them to 185 families of internally displaced persons and persons with special needs.

     And on 28.12.2022, humanitarian aid was delivered and distributed to beneficiaries in the villages of Ivanivska territorial community Chernihiv region. 162 families who moved to Chernihiv region from the zone of active hostilities and 53 families of local residents who suffered from military aggression received products and hygiene products before the New Year and Christmas holidays.

      In general, within the framework of this project, the Lviv Agrarian Chamber will provide humanitarian aid in the form of food kits to two thousand families of internally displaced persons and local residents affected by military actions in 10 territorial communities of Chernihiv and Sumy regions for 5 months.

     The assistance is provided by the Lviv Agrarian Chamber in partnership with the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) with the financial support of the Humanitarian Fund for Ukraine (UHF).
