On February 23, a working meeting of representatives of the main partner of the AGRI-BIOCIRCULAR-HUB project with the team of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber took place. The meeting was attended by Professor Myroslav Malyovany – project manager and Ivan Tymchuk and Volodymyr Zhuk – project managers. The Lviv Agrarian Chamber (LAP) was represented by Ihor Vuytsyk – the head of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber, as well as specialists Davyd Kravchenko and Anna Kushchak.
The topic of the meeting was the discussion of the implementation of package 5.1. the project, which provides for holding a competition for representatives of small and medium-sized economic entities in the agricultural sector, which are interested in implementing innovations, biocyclic and sustainable methods of agriculture. The competition will have seven directions in which you can apply for participation, namely:
– Circular nutrients and independence from fertilizers;
– Soil health and peat-free growing substrates;
– Low-carbon use of manure and organic residues;
– Water-smart agriculture and runoff reduction;
– Biological agricultural resources and solutions for utilization;
– Integrated personnel management based on data and cost reduction;
– Decision support and new circular business models.

“The AGRI-BIOCIRCULAR-HUB open competition aims to finance innovative projects that will contribute to the development of existing or new biocyclic value chains based on new products, solutions and services for testing and optimizing products and production processes or researching new production methods,” said project manager Myroslav Malyovany.
The participants of the meeting discussed the process of submitting applications and the terms of the open competition, requirements and criteria for participants, a list of additional documents, the procedure for submitting applications and their evaluation.
“There are a number of conditions in the FSTP Open Competition description that make it impossible for small agricultural enterprises to participate in it. In particular, it is about the mandatory requirement to be a VAT payer. As a rule, it is small businesses that are not VAT payers. It would be appropriate to remove this requirement from the conditions of the competition,” Ihor Vuytsyk emphasized.
Based on the results of the discussion, the participants agreed to prepare proposals for changes and additions to the description of the FSTP Open Competition in order to make the competition as accessible as possible to all economic entities seeking to implement interesting startups in the field of circular bioeconomy.
