On January 20, the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine held a meeting of Deputy Minister Taras Vysotskyi with representatives of industry associations to discuss the directions of state support for the agricultural sector in 2020.
The representative of the Assembly of Agrarian Chambers of Ukraine, the head of the Sumy Agrarian Chamber Ruslan Zvenigoretsky, took part in the meeting, who expressed the position of the members of the Assembly regarding the directions of state support for agricultural producers for the current year. An agreement was also reached regarding the participation of Assembly representatives in thematic meetings, working groups of the ministry on the development of farming, rural areas and united territorial communities.
According to Taras Vysotskyi, taking into account the proposals of specialized industry associations, the Ministry has identified a number of basic areas of industry support (horticulture, animal husbandry, in particular beekeeping, lowering the price of agricultural machinery and equipment, farming). Agricultural extension development programs will also be financed.
It is expected that by February 1, the Ministry will finally determine the main directions of state support in 2020.
