Duration of the Program: 2024 – 2025.
As part of this important humanitarian project, the Lviv Agrarian Chamber supplied long-term storage food products to institutions caring for socially vulnerable groups for almost a year and a half.
From January 2024 to April 2025, nearly 220 institutions in the Lviv and Ternopil regions received monthly deliveries of cereals, pasta, oil, and flour. These institutions include shelters for internally displaced persons, hospitals, hospices, psychiatric and geriatric facilities, orphanages, and rehabilitation centers. The Lviv Agrarian Chamber then continued the humanitarian program in eight western regions of Ukraine.During June and July 2025, 129 institutions in the Lviv, Volyn, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Zakarpattia regions received more than 180 metric tons of food. Unfortunately, due to the termination of the UN World Food Programme in western Ukraine, this was the final distribution, during which institutions received several months’ worth of food supplies.
Over the course of a year and a half, the Lviv Agrarian Chamber has provided significant support to socially vulnerable groups in Ukraine as part of the Institutional Feeding Program of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP).
248,620 beneficiaries from eight regions of the country received food packages weighing a total of 1,482.9 tons and worth over UAH 62 million. These resources provided tangible assistance to internally displaced persons, people with disabilities, large families, elderly people living alone, and other vulnerable groups who needed support during wartime.
