On March 10, a working meeting was held between the main partner of the project, the head of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber, Igor Vuytsyk, and the rector of the S.Z. Lviv National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology. Gzhitsky by Ivan Parubchak.

During the meeting, the issue of implementation of the international project “Protection of biodiversity of the cross-border territories of Ukraine and Poland from invasive populations of Heracleum” was discussed. Special attention was paid to scientific cooperation, research on the spread of Sosnovsky’s borax, as well as the implementation of modern methods of its monitoring and control and reporting.

The parties noted the importance of combining the scientific potential of the university and the practical experience of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber for the effective implementation of the project aimed at preserving biodiversity and ecological safety of the border areas of Ukraine and Poland.

Further steps of cooperation within the framework of the international program and the involvement of scientists, students and territorial communities in the implementation of environmental initiatives were also discussed.
