On May 27, 2025, the head of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber and the regional coordinator in the Lviv region, Anna Kushchak, visited the Lviv office of the UN World Food Program (WFP).
The meeting took place within the framework of cooperation between the WFP and the Lviv Agrarian Chamber in the implementation of the Institutional Nutrition Program, which was actively implemented in the Lviv and Ternopil regions during 2024 and the first three months of 2025. During this period, more than 200,000 people in need received food assistance, including internally displaced persons, orphans, persons with disabilities and other vulnerable categories of the population.
During the meeting, the continuation of the Program in June and July 2025 was discussed already in eight regions of Western Ukraine. Special attention was paid to the formation of a food basket, which will be received by 130 social institutions, where more than 28 thousand people in need are. “This partnership is an important step in ensuring the food security of the most vulnerable sections of the population of Western Ukraine,” noted Ihor Vuytsik. As a sign of gratitude for the support and fruitful cooperation, the representatives of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber presented a letter of thanks to the head of the WFP office. Source.
