WE ARE EXPANDING THE HORIZONS OF COOPERATION

On April 29, an online focus group was held on the professional sector – beekeeping within the project “Recovery and expansion of opportunities through access to the market and sustainable economic transformations” (REMARKET), which is implemented with the financial support of the Government of Switzerland.

The Lviv Agrarian Chamber took part in the event as a team of experts: the president of the LAP, Pavlo Muzika – doctor of economics, professor, head of the Department of Economics of the Lviv National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology named after Stepan Gzytskyi and Anna Kushchak, and Davyd Kravchenko.

During the focus group, the key issues of the development of the beekeeping sector were discussed, in particular: the current state of the industry and the main challenges faced by producers, the needs of the labor market for qualified specialists in the field of beekeeping, the relevance and content of training programs and courses for professional training, the possibility of integrating practical experience into the educational process, the prospects for the development of beekeeping in the conditions of post-war economic recovery, establishing cooperation between educational institutions and business.

Special attention was paid to the discussion of the teaching of specialized courses within the framework of the REMARKET project, as well as to the formation of recommendations for the improvement of educational programs in accordance with the needs of the industry. The Lviv Agrarian Chamber, through the LAP advisory service, acts as a training organizer in the project through the LAP advisory service.

Representatives of educational institutions also took part in the event, namely: Maria Varkhatiuk, director of the institute of postgraduate education (Odesa State Agrarian University), Halyna Kaminska, deputy director, (Peremyshlyansk Vocational Lyceum), Marina Frolova (Odesa State Agrarian University), Valentina Yasko, candidate of agricultural sciences, associate professor of the department of technology of production and processing of livestock products (Odesa State Agrarian University).

According to the results of the meeting, the participants agreed on the need to update educational approaches, strengthen the practical component of training, and intensify interaction between all interested parties for the sustainable development of the beekeeping industry.

The Lviv Agrarian Chamber also participates in the professional sector – baking, the focus group of which will be held on April 30.
