On October 29, a final seminar on the topic “Agricultural Knowledge and Information System (AKIS) and the development of soft fruits in the Lviv Region” organized by the Project “Supporting the Implementation of Agricultural and Food Policy in Ukraine” was held in Lviv.

The advisors of the Lviv Agrarian Board, the head of the board of the LAP Ihor Vuytsyk took part in the seminar. 

In the framework of the seminar Lyudmila Goncharenko, Director of the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of the Regional State Administration, introduced the activity of advisory services in Lviv Oblast and the system of training specialists in the field of advisory at regional universities.

With the creation of united territorial communities, the role of advisers increases.

The head of the EU project, John Milnes, familiarized the audience with the functioning of advisory services in the EU countries, whose task is legal and marketing support, environmental issues of agricultural production, ensuring food security, etc. 

EU project consultant Goran Zhivkov noted that it is important to consolidate the work of united territorial communities, advisory services and farmers.
