April 22 2024

On Tuesday, 16 April, a training session focusing on key aspects of protection, gender equality and accountability to affected populations was held at the offices of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber.

This event, organised to deepen participants’ understanding and develop their professional skills in these key areas, served not only as a platform for discussing current issues but also as a valuable tool for enhancing the chamber’s effectiveness.

The event was moderated by Mykhailo Honcharenko, Coordinator for Protection, Gender and Accountability to Affected Populations. Participants included representatives of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber team, which is actively involved in implementing the UN World Food Programme’s Institutional Food Programme in the Lviv and Ternopil regions.

During the training, participants had the opportunity to discuss current issues and challenges they face in their work in the field of protection and gender. “This training is an important opportunity for all team members to familiarise themselves with effective tools for protection and gender equality,” emphasised the programme manager and head of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber, Ihor Vuytsyk. “The knowledge gained will help us better cope with the challenges arising during the implementation of the Institutional Food Programme’s objectives.”

Following the training, all participants received educational materials, which will not only serve as a resource for further developing their skills but will also facilitate the successful application of the knowledge gained in practice.

The Lviv Agrarian Chamber continues to support initiatives aimed at raising awareness and promoting the professional development of its members, providing them with the opportunity to acquire up-to-date knowledge in the areas of protection, gender equality and accountability. Such knowledge and experience are important not only for the Chamber’s humanitarian activities but also for the fulfilment of its statutory tasks and the implementation of new programmes and projects.
