Boryslav Central City Hospital joins the Institutional Catering Programme

March 27 2024

Joining the Institutional Food Programme has been a significant step for the Municipal Non-Profit Enterprise ‘Boryslav Central City Hospital’.

In partnership with the UN World Food Programme (WFP) and the Lviv Agrarian Chamber, this initiative provides the opportunity to receive free long-life food products for hospital patients.

Earlier this year, the national medical facility began participating in the programme, which aims to ease the burden on the hospital’s budget and ensure high-quality nutrition for patients. Thanks to this, patients can now receive essential food items free of charge.

In March this year, foodstuffs worth a total of approximately 19,000 hryvnias were delivered to the hospital’s food store. These included flour, pasta, oat flakes and sunflower oil. These products will form the basis for preparing meals for patients undergoing treatment.

“We are sincerely grateful to the UN World Food Programme and the Lviv Agrarian Chamber for their significant support. This programme will enable the hospital to make substantial savings on food costs,” said the Boryslav City Council.
