In the Lviv region, the quality of surface waters is monitored on a monthly basis by the Basin Water Resources Administration for the Western Bug and San Rivers, and forms part of the national environmental monitoring system.
According to the state monitoring programme, within the Ukrainian part of the Vistula river basin, there are eight monitoring points at transboundary sections and one monitoring site at a drinking water intake.
The EcoZagroza website (http://surl.li/fpqyb) offers a free service – monitoring and environmental assessment of water resources based on chemical indicators – which displays information on water quality assessments at specific monitoring points.
