On July 20, a thematic meeting with agricultural producers and representatives of financial and credit institutions regarding issues of financial support for agricultural producers of the region was held in Lviv with the participation of the Deputy Chairman of the Lviv Regional State Administration Yuri Buchka.

The chairman of the board of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber Ihor Vuytsyk and the representative of the LAP in the Starosambir district Leonid Oliynyk took part in the meeting.

During the meeting, Director of the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Yuliya Shopska noted the implementation of financial support measures for agricultural producers this year.

According to the program of support by reducing the cost of loans, compensation is provided in the amount of 1.5 of the NBU discount rate, reduced by 5 percentage points, on a competitive basis to economic entities of the agro-industrial complex, which are engaged in activities in the fields of animal husbandry or are engaged in other types of agricultural activities (except animal husbandry). 

In order to implement programs to support the agro-industrial complex at the expense of budget funds, the department has developed road maps – a step-by-step mechanism for obtaining financial support.

Representatives of banks, in particular JSC AKB “Lviv” talked about the successful experience of lending to agricultural producers of the region, which allows the dynamic development of farms in the region.
