On October 27-28 in Lviv, as part of the implementation of the EU Project “Supporting the Implementation of Agricultural and Food Policy in Ukraine” and the Lviv Regional State Administration, seminars on development issues were held for berry producers and advisers on the topic: “Agricultural Knowledge and Information System (AKIS) and the development of soft fruits in the Lviv Region”.
Participants were addressed by the Deputy Head of the Lviv Regional State Administration Yuriy Buchko, acting Lyudmila Goncharenko, Director of the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of the Regional State Administration, who spoke about the development of berry cultivation and the financial support of farmers.
Representatives of the EU project John Milne, Goran Zhivkov and Kateryna Krykunenko presented information on the development of the world berry market, discussed problematic issues and worked out ways to solve them for the formation of effective value added chains.

The chairman of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber Ihor Vujtsyk took part in the seminar, who discussed the issue of cooperation between the EU project and regional agrarian chambers.
