On October 12, a meeting was held in Kyiv on the issue of renting water facilities, at which proposals from regions were discussed regarding the further implementation of draft law #0853 in the event of its adoption by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in the second reading and as a whole as a Law. The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Taras Vysotskyi, representatives of the State Water Agency, the State Geocadastre and regional state administrations.

In particular, the proposals sent to the Ministry of Economy relate to the provisions of a standard lease agreement for land in a complex with a water facility and hydrotechnical facilities located on it, establishing the minimum and maximum terms of the lease agreement and determining the amount of fees for leased water facilities, as well as some aspects of environmental protection legislation.

Proposals regarding amendments to the Water Code of Ukraine, the Procedure for developing a passport of a water object, the Methodology for state examination of land management documentation, the Law of Ukraine “On Land Lease” and the Tax Code of Ukraine were also discussed.

The attendees discussed the proposed changes regarding some powers of the structural divisions of the State Geocadaster, the State Water Agency, village, settlement and city councils of the OTG.

The next meeting on leasing water facilities will be held on November 11.

In addition, the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated October 13 appointed Vladyslav Margaletsky as the new head of the State Production and Consumer Service of Ukraine.
