On February 5, the Lviv Regional State Administration held an all-Ukrainian online conference call devoted to the consideration of topical issues in the fight against the illegal use of agricultural land.

The meeting was attended by the chairman of the board of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber Ihor Vuytsyk and the authorized LAP Vasyl Lesiv, the head of the Association of Farmers and Private Landowners in the Lviv Region Yaroslav Kardash, agricultural producers and representatives of the OTG of the region.

During the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Taras Vysotskyi and the head of the State Geocadastre of Ukraine Denys Bashlyk answered the urgent questions of agricultural producers regarding the mechanisms of combating illegal land cultivation in many regions thanks to the information of the specialized project of the World Bank. 

Legislative strengthening of sanctions for illegal use of agricultural land, increase in the amount of fines is foreseen. Specialists of the State Geocadastre of Ukraine reported that during January 2020, they discovered significantly more facts of illegal land use in Ukraine compared to the same month last year.
