On 14 February, the first meeting of the Board of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber (LAC) in 2025 took place, during which the organisation\u2019s performance in 2024 and strategic priorities for the future were discussed.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The main item on the agenda was the report on the activities of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber, presented by its head, Ihor Vuytsyk. He provided a detailed overview of the LAC\u2019s main achievements in 2024, in particular its agricultural advisory activities, the implementation of support programmes for farmers, including international initiatives (seed material and generators), and assistance to internally displaced persons under the Institutional Food Programme. <\/span><\/span>Throughout 2024, the Lviv Agrarian Chamber (LAC) acted as <\/span>a<\/span> cooperating partner<\/span><\/span> of the<\/span> UN <\/span>WFP <\/span>in implementing the Institutional Food Programme across the Lviv and Ternopil regions. Around 200 institutions across all districts of these regions were involved in the Programme. On average, 15,000 beneficiaries received hot meals each month using food products provided under the Programme.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Members of the Board, authorised representatives of the LAP, Dr Hryhorii Sedilo (Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences), Dr Pavlo Muzyka (Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, President of the LAP), and the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Journalism at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Mar\u2019yan Lozinsky, Head of the agricultural firm \u2018SHCHEDRYI UROZHAI\u2019 Vasyl Hulyaygrodsky, Chairman of the Farming Enterprise \u2018Etalon M\u2019 Taras Martyniak, and Director of the Farming Enterprise \u2018AGRO-VOLYA\u2019 <\/span> Stepan Yatsykiv. All of them spoke highly of the Chamber\u2019s work and proposed that the Chairman\u2019s report be approved. The decision was adopted unanimously, and the organisation\u2019s activities were deemed satisfactory.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Board also heard the report of the audit committee, presented by Zoryana Kovch, an authorised representative of the LAP. Following discussion, the report was approved.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

As part of the consideration of other matters, a decision was taken to delegate the head of the LAP, Ihor Vuytsyk, to the Commission for determining the recipients of financial support from the Lviv Regional Military Administration for 2025.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, the Board members considered a submission regarding problematic issues relating to the taxation of peasant (farmer) holdings. The criteria for identifying agricultural enterprises that are of vital importance to the food security of local communities during the wartime period were also discussed.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Lyudmyla Honcharenko, Director of the Department of Agro-Industrial Development at the Lviv Regional State Administration, took part in the meeting of the Board of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Lviv Agrarian Chamber will continue its activities aimed at developing the agricultural sector, supporting farmers and ensuring food security in the current circumstances.
