The aim of the visit was to familiarise themselves with the institutions participating in the Institutional Food Programme and to speak directly with the people receiving assistance.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; line-height: 22px; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: #000000; text-indent: 35.4pt;\"><span lang=\"UK\" style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">The head of the charitable organisation \u201cCharitable Foundation \u2018SVITLOI MRII\u2019\u201d, Iryna Zorina, showed the shelter where, for the past two and a half years, at least 75 Ukrainian refugees who moved to the Lviv region and found social shelter from the very first day of Russia\u2019s full-scale invasion of Ukraine have been living and receiving regular meals.<br \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-3093\" src=\"https:\/\/agrochamber.lviv.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/240901.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1077\" height=\"807\" \/><br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; line-height: 22px; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: #000000; text-indent: 35.4pt;\"><span lang=\"UK\" style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: #080809;\">Representatives of the mission toured the modular settlement for displaced persons, spoke with its residents, and witnessed the comprehensive care and constant support provided for various needs, for which the settlement\u2019s residents expressed their sincere gratitude.<br \/><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-3094\" src=\"https:\/\/agrochamber.lviv.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/240902.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; line-height: 22px; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: #000000; text-indent: 35.4pt;\"><span lang=\"RU\" style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: #222222;\">The <\/span><span lang=\"RU\" style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">\u201cSt Nicholas Multidisciplinary Educational and Rehabilitation Centre\u201d currently accommodates 230 children with disabilities, including IDPs. <\/span><span lang=\"RU\" style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #222222;\">This facility provides accommodation, meals and support to children who find themselves in difficult life circumstances.<\/span> <span style=\"color: #222222;\">The centre\u2019s management briefed the guests on the facility\u2019s activities, <\/span>the process of education, rehabilitation and catering <span style=\"color: #302d2d; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\">for socially vulnerable children.<\/span> <span style=\"color: #222222;\">Mission representatives toured the premises where the children live and study, and discussed the difficulties and challenges faced by the centre, given the significant increase in the number of children requiring assistance.<br \/><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-3095\" src=\"https:\/\/agrochamber.lviv.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/240903.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; line-height: 22px; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: #000000; text-indent: 35.4pt;\"><span lang=\"RU\" style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: #222222;\">During the visit, the mission representatives also had the opportunity to speak with carers and children at the centre. They learned about their experiences of receiving assistance and their living conditions. Nataliia Kolomiiets noted that the support provided by the UN WFP not only helps to provide people with essential food, but also enables their psychological and emotional development in a safe environment.<br \/><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-3096\" src=\"https:\/\/agrochamber.lviv.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/240904.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; line-height: 22px; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: #000000; text-indent: 35.4pt;\"><span lang=\"RU\" style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: #222222;\">Ihor Vuytsyk emphasised the importance of such facilities, which play a key role in supporting vulnerable groups. He also noted that the Lviv Agrarian Chamber and its partners would continue to cooperate with international organisations, such as the UN WFP, to ensure a sustainable supply of food and resources to these facilities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; line-height: 22px; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: #000000; text-indent: 35.4pt;\"><span lang=\"RU\" style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: #222222;\">The visit concluded with a discussion of further steps to improve living conditions for beneficiaries and optimise food aid programmes.
