<\/p>\nOn August 18, at the initiative of the Legal Department of the Regional State Administration, a discussion panel was held in the Lviv Regional State Administration on the topic: “Transparency of lease relationships – the key to the investment attractiveness of Lviv Oblast.”\u00a0<\/p>\n
Agricultural producers of the region, representatives of territorial communities, public figures, representatives of state authorities, head of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber board Ihor Vuytsyk, deputy head of the LAP board Hanna Kushchak took part in the discussion.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The purpose of the event was to create a communication platform between state authorities, representatives of agrarian and farm businesses in order to highlight problematic issues in the field of land legal relations.<\/p>\n

Deputy head of the Lviv Regional State Yuriy Buchko addressed the participants of the discussion panel with an opening speech, who outlined the urgency of the issue of proper regulation of land relations in order to combat raiding and ensure the security of tenants’ rights.<\/p>\n
The head of the legal department of the regional state administration, Oksana Kumanska-Nor, outlined the current legislative initiatives that prevent raiding in Ukraine.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Expert of the World Bank project Andriy Martyn in his speech noted the government’s initiatives to reduce the number of raiders and emphasized new draft laws concerning land legal relations.<\/p>\n
Director of the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of the Regional State Administration Yuliya Shopska presented information on land use and aspects of crop rotation compliance by agricultural producers. Also this year, more than 12,000 hectares of land were additionally introduced into transparent land use in the region.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The head of the board of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber, Ihor Vuytsyk, in his speech, outlined the problematic issues of the current legislation that complicate the activities of farmers, emphasized the importance of the development of consultancy in the field of land legal relations, transparent land auctions. The issues of the land inheritance procedure in farming also remain complex.\u00a0 \u00a0That is why it is important to transfer part of the powers to the public sector, in particular the Agrarian Chambers, as self-regulating public institutions.\u00a0<\/p>\n
